enjoying local cuisine, experiencing authentic culture, while you are staying in our 3 properties that are dotted in the city of Takada.
 
Takada castle was built as the residence of Tadateru Matsudaira, the 6th son of Ieyasu Tokugawa.
The town with over 400 years history still retains its appearance and culture as the historic castle town.
Since Takada is known for heavy snowfall, Gangi (a pathway covered by extended eaves to protect from snow) was started to build in Edo era
to secure a passage and support our livelihoods during the winter. 
The total length of Gangi in Takada area is the longest in Japan and has been the landmark of the town.
